Day 1

Finals week. For some students, this is stressful; for others, it's just another day. I look around the room, knowing the scores without even scoring the tests. I have thousands of grades (1 - 2 grades/day X 160 students X 5 days/week X 20 weeks--you do the math). One year, I graded students on how prepared they were on the first day of school. Were they on time? Were they prepared? Did they pay attention? Scary how accurate I was.
